Tommasi, the family company owning 780 hectares under vine in 7 regions of Italy, is celebrating its 120th anniversary with an exclusive collaboration with Seletti, one of the leading companies in Italian design.
The Tommasi have their origins in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica zone in the hills of the Veneto, but over the years they have made substantial investments in all of the country’s finest terroirs.
As Pierangelo Tommasi says: «We are thrilled to be part of the generation celebrating this 120th anniversary. If we look back, we can see so much hard work, passion and sacrifice on the part of those who came before us: it is an honor and a responsibility for us today to be part of all this. We are committed to not stopping here and to maintaining the dynamism that has been one of our characteristics over the years. We want the Tommasi family to be increasingly synonymous with excellence. We have invested in regions that are real icons in the world of Italian wine production: long-term projects that bear witness to our determination to construct a future for the coming generations. This is the pragmatic and far-sighted “farmers’” approach that has always been – and always will be – part of our DNA: investing in quality, winemaking culture and research, so that we can grow in a healthy and resilient way».
To honor this 120th anniversary, the Tommasi family is launching an exclusive collaboration with Seletti, the leading Italian figurative design brand: a partnership, therefore, that has to do with wine and design, two different stylistic expressions of Italian craftsmanship, which are however based on common values: family, style and quality.
The result of this collaboration is the bottle for collectors of Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico D.O.C.G., with its label made entirely of porcelain and its distinctive packaging.
In this limited edition, the icon of a region’s tradition and excellence comes together with the bold and eccentric spirit of design to celebrate 120 years of love for wine and providing hospitality in the finest areas of Italy.
