Luigi is one of the most talented Italian chef, his new project takes part in the heart of Piacenza, in the courtyard of the deconsecrated church dedicated to St. Augustine, from a renovation of the carpentry shop attached to the Monastery, a meeting place for art, culture and social life.
A full moon, wonderful, welcomes guests and accompanies them during the meal, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Design between the historic and the romantic seducing with teal and sea blue colours. A soft lighting embraced the soul.
Taglienti is recognized as one of the best interpreters of Italian and French cuisine with an unparalleled ability to try his hand at sauces, and, just a year after the restaurant opened, which is now up and running, he has developed an entire tasting menu, entireley them dedicated, which is called “Standards.” It pays homage precisely to the classic sauces declined in researched and very multifaceted dishes. It looks at the territory with great respect and then, in the wines selected on the list, it ranges with many and sought after French and Italian references.
The restaurant seats about 40. In summer one enjoys the outdoor terrace embraced by old walls, a warmth perceived as minimalist that nevertheless recalls in the atmosphere a bohemian garden.
There is also room for Art, in what is called as “Volumnia” exhibition area and dedicated to historical Italian design, exhibitions, events and a display of collectable works are welcome, it is a welcoming place open to exceptional artists, curated by the creative soul of Enrica De Micheli.
