The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is fleshy, concentrated, slightly smoky. It expresses woody notes at the beginning (toasted wood, a touch of coffee), which then combine with a delicate spiciness (licorice, ground cumin, grated nutmeg), a beautiful fruity substance (wild strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam, blackcurrant, crème de cassis, raspberry coulis) and a refined floral bouquet (cornflower violet). The palate is delicious, open and supple. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry jam, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, wild plum, as well as pronounced notes of licorice and menthol, especially on the finish. There are also notes of ground cumin, cloves, dark chocolate, dried cornflower and violet, as well as a slight smoky touch in the background. The tannins are fine and melted. Beautiful acidity and persistence on the palate. The finish is gourmand, sqvoury and spicy. Good balance overall.
