The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is reserved, discreet, but more expressive after aeration. It offers notes of morello cherry, red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, crushed fresh raspberry, as well as menthol and floral aromas (peony, violet), with fine spicy touches, complementing the fruit (licorice, nutmeg, ground black pepper, clove). On the palate, the wine is airy, tangy, with lightness and freshness of fruit. It expresses the flavors of fresh fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, crushed raspberry, wild apple), associated with floral notes (violet, peony) and toasted and spicy touches which appear at the end of the palate (coffee, a hint of vanilla, licorice, cloves). The tannins have a fine grain, a supple texture and a certain firmness. The finish is quite persistent, with good acidity and a hint of chocolate. A gourmand and pleasant wine.
