Le Clos du Beau-Père 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is spicy, juicy and concentrated. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, fresh morello cherry, morello cherry jam, black plum, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and roasted cherry, combined with notes of wild mint, licorice, white pepper, cloves as well as delicate notes of flowers (violet, fresh cornflower) and hints of vanilla, cocoa and caramel (in the background). On the palate, the wine is dense, generous and deep. It offers notes of juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, black plum, wild blackberry, cherry jam and wild strawberry with a very subtle touch of prunes in the background. We also find spicy notes of Bourbon vanilla, mint chocolate, licorice, a very subtle touch of cinnamon and toasted almond, as well as elegant floral notes (fresh cornflower, peony, violet). The tannins are supple, melted and very fine. The finish is long, precise, chiseled and complex: it also expresses roasted and roasted notes (sweet coffee, cocoa), as well as a beautiful freshness and a good level of acidity, balanced with the organoleptic profile of the wine.
