This wine has got a rose gold color. It is pale, transparent and shiny. The first nose is fruity on peach and nectarine. We also find the impact of the barrel with notes of toast and vanilla. With air, it is still very smoky. You have the impression of having juicy berries cooked in the fireplace. The attack is straightforward. We find intense wood. It brings notes of vanilla but also of crème brûlée. It’s smooth. Very smoky. There is a nice acidity that comes in the mid-palate. The fruits are discreet compared to the power of the toast. However, little by little they come out of their hiding place: small red fruits, ripe fig, peach, cooked apricot. In the end, creamy and buttered fruits are there.
