Château Pavie 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé A

The nose is gourmand, aromatic and offers deepness, elegance, a slight concentration, a slight delicacy as well as a slight stylish side. It reveals notes of coffee and slight notes of fleshy/ripe blackberry, fresh/ripe cassis associated with hints of chocolate and toffee. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a nice freshness, tension, fat, a nice roundness as well as a slight suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, cassis and slight notes of fresh/ripe raspberry associated with a hint of fresh/ripe small berries as well as discreet woody hints, caramelization, chocolate, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of vanilla and an imperceptible hint of grilled bread. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of hazelnut and caramelization on the persistence which brings gourmandise.
