Vidal-Balaguer, Selección 2023 – Alicante

The nose is aromatic, beautifully conducted, powerful and controlled. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, wild berries and small notes of Sichuan pepper, associated with fine hints of black olive, dried aromatic herbs and a discreet hint of smoke and olive tree. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, fruit, a little tension, accuracy, a fresh frame. It expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, violet, wild berries and small notes of blue berries associated with touches of olive tree, local grove, as well as fine hints of balsamic, olive leaf and toasted/caramelized. Good length and good structure of the tannins.
