Tertre Roteboeuf 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is elegant, aromatic, melodious and delicate, with a harmonious and balanced power. There are notes of boysenberry, fleshy and juicy berries, as well as a lighter touch of roasted cherry. These aromas are accompanied by touches of crushed strawberry, a hint of bright blueberry, nutmeg, a subtle nuance of velvety saffron, cornflower, as well as a hint of elegant roast. There are also notes of toasted seed and delicate spices. The palate is nicely structured, fresh, elegant, mineral, supple and airy. It presents both depth and density, but always with great finesse. A fine creaminess mixes with an elegant darkness, combined with touches of roast and Mediterranean nuances. There are notes of ripe blackcurrant, roasted strawberry and pulpy/juicy blue fruits on the palate. All accompanied by a hint of vanilla, toasted pips, aromatic herbs, chocolate, a hint of balsamic, black olive and mocha. Tannins are mellow and tasty. Good length, with a subtle saline note in the background. The nose also offers a discreet hint of delicate sage and stevia. A nice mellow, tasty, gourmand and toasty persistence. The shine and reflection of the wine almost show a patinated and elegant side of the fruit.
