Terre de la Custodia – Farchioni, Merlot Riserva 2017 – Vigna San Martino, Colli Martani

The nose is aromatique and offers a certain small power as well as a slight concentration. There are notes of wild blackberry, wild cassis and small notes of juicy/ ripe small black fruits associated with touches of red cherry as well as hints of graphene, spices and a discreet hint of varietal in the background. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, freshness, aciduly as well as a certain tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy black cherry, bright/ juicy blackberry and small notes of crushed redcurrant associated with touches of purple/ bright black plum as well as hints of cornflower, badian, torrefaction as well as a subtle hint almost varietal. Discreet hint of torrefaction in the background. Good length. Suavity, freshness and a certain pulpiness. A slight darkness. A subtle powerdery hint on the persistence.
