Tenuta Meraviglia 2016 – Bolgheri

The nose is fruity, gourmande and offers a fine richness, a beautiful precision, delicacy as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe / juicy boysenberry, small notes of ripe strawberry and small notes of minerality, liquorice associated with very discreet hints of chocolate as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background), sweet spices and toasted almonds. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, gourmandize, tension, finesse, minerality as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, blackberry and small notes of ripe / fleshy raspberry associated with small touches of flowers, toasted as well as very discreet hints of liquorice, toasted almond and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. Tannins are fine and elegant. A very fine chew on the finish / persistence.
