Tenuta Bricco San Giorgio Garanti 2021 – Nizza

The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is open, fruity, very gourmand, even slightly sweet. It expresses notes of ripe wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, juicy morello cherry, red cherry jam, as well as crushed blackberry, combined with a fragrant floral bouquet, especially on the sweet notes of peony and iris, with an elegant nuance of rose. There is also a textured and integrated roasted side – notes of toasted hazelnut (even caramelized hazelnut in the background), roasted chestnut, sweet coffee (with a touch of coffee with milk) and dark chocolate, combined with sweet spices (toasted vanilla, licorice, ground clove). After aeration, there is a subtle scent of lilac and aromatic herbs (wild mint, fresh thyme, sage), as well as a smoky and roasted hint. The palate is silky, fruity and enveloping, but at the same time airy and tangy, with a good bitterness of cocoa and bergamot in the background. It expresses notes of ripe raspberry, morello cherry, red cherry, blueberry, wild strawberry, associated with notes of roasting (sweet coffee, cocoa, toasted hazelnut), sweet spices (roasted vanilla in the background, liquorice, clove) and a fine floral and herbaceous side (iris, rose, lilac, peppermint, fresh thyme). The tannins are finely tight, enveloped and sapid. Beautiful length on the freshness, a good bitterness and a lively acidity. A pleasant toasted touch on the persistence.
