Tenuta Bauda – 2016, Riserva – Nizza DOCG

The nose is fruity and offers some intensity in its fruit as well as the finesse and power of the grain. It reveals notes of graphite, blackcurrant, and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of juicy purple plum as well as fine hints of spices and a very discreet hint of smoke. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, a certain brightness, tension, a nice freshness as well as straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackcurrant, purple plum, and small notes of graphite associated with fine hints of toast, and toasted hazelnut as well as subtle almost smoky, and vanilla hints (in the background). Slightly tight in the finish.
