Serra Domenico, Vigna Vialta 2020 – Nizza

The wine has a ruby ​​color of medium intensity, with very light garnet reflections. The nose is gourmand and combines fresh and roasted notes in its fruity material, complemented by a sappy and balsamic hint. It expresses aromas of wild strawberry, roasted raspberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, dried cranberries and wild blackberry, associated with hints of pine sap, pine needles, menthol in the background, as well as balsamic cream. Then, we find notes of liquorice (which tends towards star anise), nutmeg and a hint of pink pepper, associated with notes of toasted hazelnut, dried mint, peony and iris in the background. The mouth is open, juicy and gourmand, with lots of fruit and chocolatey touches on the attack. Notes of ripe morello cherry, chocolate morello cherry, roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry, wild strawberry and wild blackberry are found, combined with flavors of liquorice, nutmeg and pink pepper, as well as a fresh hint of pine needles, menthol, iris and peony in the background. The finish is persistent, with gourmet notes of toasted hazelnut and ripe morello cherry. The tannins have good structure and a velvety and enveloping texture, with firmness. Beautiful salivating acidity.
