The nose is reserved and requires aeration. Then, it expresses notes of roasted and fresh fruits (roasted red cherry, dried cherry, crushed black plum, fresh blackberry, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, hint of crushed blackcurrant), spicy touches (nutmeg, liquorice, cardamom), fresh aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary, crushed mint in the background, a hint of fresh tobacco, dried basil), a slight hint of envelopped roasting and toast (sweet coffee, toasted hazelnut), mint chocolate, balsamic, cornflower and dried rose. The palate offers precision and tension, tight but fine tannins, slightly grippy. It expresses notes of fresh tangy fruits (crushed black plum, fresh blackberry, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, hint of crushed blackcurrant), combined with a hint of dried red cherry, herbs (basil, menthol, fresh thyme, dried mint, fresh tobacco), a fine balsamic nuance, as well as notes of faded rose in the background and dried cornflower. There are also sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, cardamom), as well as a hint of coffee, cocoa and toasted hazelnut. Good savoury, tangy persistence, on the note of macerated cherry.
