Scacciadiavoli 2020 – Montefalco Sagrantino

The nose is racy, elegant, well conducted and offers a certain deepness. There are notes of crushed strawberries, crushed raspberry and small notes of quite ripe small fruits associated with touches of tobacco, discreet hints of clove and a subtle hint of pepper. The mouth is mineral, fresh, fruity, linear and offers a certain energy as well as a slight crunchiness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ fresh purple plum, juicy/ fresh small red fruits and small notes of flowers associated with touches of tobacco, slight hints of olive tree leaf, black olive, toast and discreet hint of chocolate in the background. Good length. Sapid finish and slightly saline. Gourmandise. A subtle mache and savory tannins.
