The wine has a deep ruby color. The first nose is elegant and fragrant, finely herbaceous and floral, with a juicy and fresh fruitiness. It expresses notes of fresh bay leaf, peppermint, thyme blossom, fresh rosemary, wild rose and iris, combined with aromas of morello cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, black plum and crushed blackcurrant (or even crème de cassis in the background), as well as a milky touch of cherry yogurt. We also find subtle and integrated notes of sweet spices: vanilla, liquorice with a touch of star anise, gray pepper and ground cloves, as well as a racy minerality (rock, dry stone). The palate is soft, supple and gourmand, with a savoury, fruity and chocolatey attack. It expresses the flavors of blackberry, juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry jam, raspberry coulis, cherry and prunes in chocolate, combined with notes of chocolate with mint, a milky touch of coffee with milk and cherry yogurt, as well as aromatic herbs (peppermint, rosemary, thyme), flowers (iris, peony), sweet spices (vanilla, licorice, cinnamon), and a hint of torrefaction (heated wood in the background, caramelised hazelnut). The tannins are velvety, sapid, with a fine texture. The acidity is supple, but fresh. Good persistence on the gourmandise of red fruits and chocolate. A pleasant, harmonious and fleshy wine.
