Querciolana Camporso Il Viognier 2022 – Umbria IGT Bianco

(100% Viognier, 9 months in new barrels and in one year barrels) The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic with stone fruits, typical for Viognier (apricot, white peach). We also find notes of dried pineapple, dried pineapple, associated with integrated woody notes (a delicate hint of fresh wood, fresh hazelnut, toast), with notes of white flowers (acacia, apple blossom, chamomile), a mineral touch and dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, tea). The palate is rich, round, with expressive flavors of stone fruits (yellow peach, apricot, peach in syrup), honey, fresh pineapple, thyme, rosemary, acacia and chamomile. We also find a good bitterness of toasted almond, as well as a touch of vanilla, even caramel. A fleshy wine, harmonious and structured, with medium acidity and a richness typical for Viognier, complemented by a racy minerality and notes of local herbs, as well as an integrated woody notes.
