Quercecchio 2023 – Rosso di Montalcino

Quercecchio 2023 – Rosso di Montalcino

The nose is aromatic and expressive, pleasantly herbaceous (cut thyme, roasted rosemary). It also expresses notes of mint chocolate that bring gourmandise, a floral fragrance (violet and peony), juicy and fresh ripe fruits (morello cherry, sour red cherry, strawberry, blackcurrant), a touch of crushed fresh mint, which appears after aeration. The palate is lively, chiseled, herbaceous (rosemary, mint, blackcurrant leaf), with a fruity tanginess (flavours of red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry, cranberries, blackcurrant), associated with floral fragrances (violet, peony), mint, rosemary, a good bitterness of bird cherry, as well as a touch of roasted rosemary in the background. A chiseled and airy wine, with firm but fine tannins, solid and balanced by a salivating acidity.
