The wine has a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose opens with pronounced aromas of cherry in chocolate, prunes in chocolate, and cocoa. There are also juicy red fruits (morello cherry, red cherry, crushed strawberry, raspberry), a hint of liquorice, white pepper, garrigue, and a very slight saline hint. On the palate, the attack is open and supple with tangy fresh black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry) and small red fruits, completed by a minty, peppery, floral (peony) and a very light note of toast. The mid-palate and the finish are rather tight, structured and tannic (with firm tannins, of a medium (+) level) with mineral notes. The body of the wine has an medium level, acidity is high. The finish has a medium (+) length. Good structure, tension and freshness.
