The wine has a ruby color, of medium intensity, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is aromatic, fresh, precise, complex and airy in its concentration. It first expresses menthol and resinous notes (pine needles, pine sap, menthol, liquorice and even star anise), complemented by a tangy fruitiness and spicy touches. We find aromas of fresh red cherry, blackberry, morellocherry, raspberry, crushed blueberry and a hint of blackcurrant, associated with hints of liquorice, nutmeg, cumin and vanilla. After aeration, we smell woody aromas of toast, coffee, toasted hazelnut, as well as a hint of dark chocolate and sweet coffee in the background, associated with a touch of roasted bouquet garni. The palate offers a fruity and juicy attack, with a good bitterness. It expresses notes of red cherry, raspberry, crushed blueberry, morello cherry, red plum and blackcurrant, combined with a fine herbaceous side (fresh mint, dried mint, fresh bouquet garni), spicy notes (licorice, even star anise, cumin), a resinous touch of pine sap and pine needles, as well as toast and fresh hazelnut. The tannins are finely tight and enveloped. Good length with lively acidity, freshness and a slight bitterness.
