The first nose expresses tertiary aromas (fresh tobacco, dried tobacco, undergrowth and faded rose in the background). Then, we find fresh and roasted fruits (morello cherry, roasted red cherry, blackcurrant, crushed strawberry, dried raspberry), sweet spices (cardamom, liquorice, a hint of star anise, white pepper, nutmeg), herbs (bay leaf, basil, tobacco). The palate is tangy, fresh and complex, with a slight tertiary hint (tobacco, wet leaves in the background). It also expresses flavors of fresh and dried fruits (fresh blackcurrant, dried blackcurrant, morello cherry, sour red cherry, bird cherry with its good bitterness, crushed strawberry). We also find light spicy touches (cardamom, liquorice, nutmeg), as well as a chocolatey and tangy touch of cocoa nibs. The tannins are fine and melted. Good length, power in finesse.
