The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is reserved at first and requires aeration. It expresses notes of ripe red cherry, fresh red currants, wild blackberry, morello cherry and blueberry, combined with a racy minerality (limestone, even slightly smoky), notes of aromatic herbs (dried rosemary, peppermint, a light touch of sage in the background), sweet spices (licorice, white pepper, crushed coriander seeds), dark chocolate and chocolate morello cherry. The palate is silky, with a gourmand and chocolatey attack (we find in particular the flavors of dark chocolate and chocolate cherry). It then expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry, strawberry jam and raspberry in the background, as well as fresh blueberry and blackberry. On the mid-palate, we find gourmet notes of toasted hazelnut and sweet coffee, dried rosemary, peppermint, as well as liquorice, coriander seeds and a hint of vanilla. The finish is persistent, tangy and expresses the right bitterness and a smoky side of bergamot. Precision, accuracy, a beautiful complexity and the freshness of the fruits.
