Kingsbarns Doocot 46% – Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The nose is fresh and discreet. There is a certain sweetness on the nose with notes of vanilla as well as custard. We perceive a hint of yellow peach in the syrup. The palate is powerful, aromatic with a small touch of spices especially in the mid-palate with also a hint of coconut. We have a sweetness still very present with a more saline side, more orange, more candied lemon zest on the mid-palate until the finish. We also perceive a slightly floral side. The finish is grainy with a slightly smoky aspect. It is long and balanced with still roundness at the end of the tasting. A whisky to sip.
