The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose offers density, complexity and a roasted touch (fruit and herbs). It expresses notes of fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry, bird cherry, blackberry and damson plum, associated with touches of fresh tobacco, roasted rosemary, dried thyme, and crushed peppermint. Then, we find the notes of roasting (toasted hazelnut, fresh hazelnut, fresh wood in the background and sweet coffee), associated with touches of sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, sweet pepper), toastedbread in the background and cocoa. The palate is silky, round and juicy, with gourmet flavors of ripe fruits and aromatic herbs. It expresses notes of fresh juicy morello cherry, ripe red cherry (even roasted red cherry), wild strawberry, roasted raspberry, blackberry and black plum in the background, combined with notes of dried and roasted herbs (roasted rosemary, dried thyme, dried peppermint), as well as roasted hints (cocoa, coffee, toasted hazelnut) and gourmet chocolate notes (chocolate cherry). The finish is persistent and offers freshness of tangy fruits (red cherry, a hint of cranberries), a good bitterness and a salivating acidity that balance the profile of the wine. There is also a very subtle tertiary touch of undergrowth in the background. The tannins are enveloping, well structured, while remaining velvety and discreet.
