Grassl Philipp – ZW/BF/ME 2022 Höflein 1ÖTW – Carnuntum

The first nose is fresh and fruity with red crispy fruits like red cherry. There are also fresh flowers and some toast. The second nose, with air, opens with a bit of alcohol and black cherry. We do have some sweet spices also. The mouth is fresh and has a nice acidity. The freshness is almost minty. The tannins are strong and dry. The middle of the mouth is salivating with some black currant, black berry and a hint of vanilla. The finish has some astringent brought by the tannins with a bit of saltiness and some black fruits. It is long.
