The wine has a pale ruby color. The initial nose is restrained before aeration, but expresses dense fruitiness and gourmand notes of roasted fruits (roasted red cherry, roasted plum), refreshed by menthol aromas (peppermint, menthol, licorice, star anise). After aeration, the nose expresses a beautiful freshness of bright fresh fruits (raspberry, tart strawberry, red cherry, fresh morello cherry, blueberry), a fragrant and elegant floral bouquet (violet, peony, rose, cornflower), as well as subtle and integrated spicy and toasted notes (toasted almond, a subtle hint of coffee, crushed coriander seeds, Sichuan pepper, clove), as well as a hint of fresh pine needles and fresh tobacco. The palate is enveloping, juicy, yet airy, with concentrated and juicy fruitiness, all in finesse and elegance. It expresses the flavors of ripe, juicy and crunchy fruits (red cherry, strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry, blueberry, red plum, blueberry), a refreshing herbaceous hint(fresh mint, fresh tobacco, pine needles), savoury notes of sweet spices and roasting (nutmeg, Sichuan pepper, liquorice, ground clove, coriander seeds, combined with notes of coffee and cocoa. The flavours of roasting (roasted cherry, roasted meat) returns on the finish. The tannins are serrated, powdery, enveloping and silky, and give the wine a good structure, all in elegance. Beautiful acidity and freshness, the finish is fruity, slightly chocolatey, gourmet and persistent. A refined and elegant wine.
