The wine has a bright, deep ruby colour. The nose is pleasantly woody with notes of cinnamon, cloves, a touch of cigar box and nutmeg. The palate reveals a lot of juiciness and freshness, a plethora of red and black cherries, nuances of blackberries and cassis supported by nuances of spices and oak. The tannins are bold but juicy, still very youthful. The finish is long and woody. Good ageing potential.
