Domaine Le Clos Rivieral – Les Maros 2018 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is mineral, racy, beautifully defined, harmonious and offers intensity (full of elegance), a certain richness (full of finesse) and an aerial side. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of cherry seed associated with small touches of crushed strawberry, raspberry leaf as well as fine hints of sweet spices, toasted/Caramelization, a discreet hint of racy minerality, liquorice, Cuben pepper and a subtle hint of sense of the place. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers freshness, an acidulous frame, juiciness, a certain tension as well as precision, a small straightness and an aerial/slightly tight side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cherry, juicy raspberry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of blackberry as well as fine hints of cherry blossom, fresh violet, discreet hints of black olive, liquorice, nutmeg, cardamom and an imperceptible hint of sense of the place (local biotope). Tannins are precise and finely firm. Good length.
