A lovely cherry colour. The nose has a fine intensity, offering spices and fruit but also, and above all, a fine floral character which allows rose petals to complement, refresh and add complexity to raspberry, red cherry, blackcurrant and various variations of pepper. A slight hint of iodine develops with aeration. The wine’s texture offers pleasant density, leading to fruity traction, and, although very opulent, the palate retains a good freshness. This freshness unfolds and radiates through the finish, with a renewed liveliness from the spicy notes. The tannins are subtle but delicate. A fruity, elegant wine with excellent balance.
