The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers gourmandise, concentration and a certain complexity. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, crushed strawberry, redcurrant jelly, raspberry coulis and fresh blackcurrant, associated with a fine floral bouquet (iris, peony, violet), touches of menthol, roasted aromatic herbs and a gourmet hint of cherry jam, as well as a peppery and toasted touch in the background. The palate offers juiciness, indulgence and density, all in freshness. It expresses flavors of tart red cherry, fresh raspberry, strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, raspberry coulis and fresh red plum, associated with notes of peony, violet and lily, as well as a fine herbaceous side (rosemary, mint in the background and a hint of blackcurrant leaf). The tannins are tight, slightly grippyon the finish. The finish is rather persistent, straight, juicy and delicious, with a nice acidity and a good bitterness of bird cherry in the background.
