This whisky is pale lemon with nice limpidity. The first nose is powerful with empyreumatic notes and especially toasted, smoke and burnt. There is some peat present. It is a whisky with a strong character. Behind, we guess fruits and in particular citrus fruits such as lemon and citron. We also have licorice, mint and mushrooms. The attack is very smoky. We find a roundness that accompanies notes of fruit such as orange, cherry stone and reine claude plum (greengage plum). We have cream and a magnificent, intense peat. The finish has a refreshing hint of bitterness. The whole is minty and always very smoky. Very nice whisky to taste with dark chocolate as a treat.
