The nose is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses fine tertiary notes (undergrowth in the background, dried tobacco), balsamic and fresh basil, then complemented by dried and roasted fruits (dried red cherry, prunes in the background, roasted red cherry), associated with fresh fruits (wild strawberry, morello cherry, black plum), dried mint, pine needles, rosemary, as well as tasty spices (liquorice, cardamom, nutmeg, hint of gray pepper) and a toasted touch (hazelnut, hint of almond). The palate is dense, but refined, gourmet, chocolatey, with herbaceous freshness (thyme, rosemary, dried mint, tobacco, a hint of basil). It expresses more fresh, than roasted fruits (prunes in the background, wild strawberry, morello cherry, black plum, a hint of roasted cherry), a good bitterness of bird cherry and coffee, a touch of toasted almond, as well as delicate tertiary notes of dry leaves, as well as a mineral hint. The tannins are tight, grippy, solid, softened by a salivating acidity. The finish is persistent and firm.
