The nose has a fine intensity, with a certain depth. It benefits from being decanted. We find notes of wild blackberry, sweet pepper and more particularly cloves, associated with subtle dusty touches and discreet notes of lilac, spicy and nuances of sweet spices/nutmeg. On the palate, the wine is fruity, juicy, and suave, with lovely freshness and good definition. It offers a certain tension and remarkable accuracy, while maintaining elegant flexibility. We find notes of pulpy and juicy cherry, fleshy blackcurrant, and more discreetly bright raspberry, associated with touches of bright small fruits, hints of vanilla, blond tobacco, a discreet touch of smoke and star anise. Tannins are mellow and sapid, supporting a nice length on the palate.
