The nose is fruity and reveals a certain power and fine intensity. There are notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, pulpy berries and, more slightly, blueberry, violet, combined with fine hints of zan and a very discreet hint of pepper, spice and a subtle varietal touch. The palate is fruity and reveals a mineral backbone, gourmandize, nice freshness, good definition, a certain juiciness, a fine straightness as well as a fine acidic spine. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry and crisp blackcurrant and more lightly of fresh/juicy red berries combined with fine touches of peony/lilac, a subtle hint of pepper and a very discreet hint of spice and star anise. Good length. A subtle hint of chocolate in the background. Good work on the bitter taste, especially on the finish/persistence.
