Château Monbousquet  2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a slight gourmandise as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and fresh/ripe cassis associated with slight hints of strawberry, licorice as well as discreet hints of toasted oak/caramelization. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, well-built and offers a good tension, a good freshness as well as a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh/ripe blackberry, fresh/ripe cassis and slight notes of crushed/ripe wild strawberry associated with hints of licorice, a hint of roasting as well as slight woody hints. Good length and persistence. There is a hint of vanilla on the persistence.
