Château Martin 2023 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is racy and offers a relatively powerful and frank grain. It expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, small pulpy red berries and more slightly – violet associated with fine touches almost blueberry, racy minerality and a discreet hint of zan. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, suavity of accuracy, a certain tension, suppleness, a tangy frame. It expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, plough / juicy cherry and more slightly – small roasted red fruits, associated with hints of tobacco, badine and a subtle almost sappy hint. Good work on the good bitters. Finely tight tannins.
