Château Le Gay 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is aromatic, elegant, delicate and sumptuous, with great precision and a lovely multi-layered side. It reveals notes of bright blueberry, cherry, and small notes, crushed blackcurrant, combined with touches of elegant roasted berries, vanilla, star anise, as well as a hint of black tea, lilac, iodized bass, and discreet nuances of fresh hazelnut and toasted notes. The nose enhanced by a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral and elegant, with great precision, accuracy and suppleness. It offers deepness and a lovely finesse in its creamy texture. We find notes of juicy and fresh blackcurrant, pulpy and fresh blue plum, and, small notes, crushed strawberry, associated with touches of lily, cornflower, iodized gravel, chocolate, toast and almond. toasted. The finish is marked by delicate toasted, even slightly caramelized notes, and a subtle almost hint of fresh/sappy cornflower in the background. The wine benefits from being decanted. It offers a beautiful energy.
