Château Le Chemin 2020 – Pomerol

The nose is gourmand and offers finesse, a nice definition, a small freshness as well as a certain concentration. It reveals notes of bright Boysen berry, blueberry, small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with touches of caramelization, dark chocolate, fine hints of toasted and a discreet hint of black pepper. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness as well as a nice acidulous frame, a nice aromatic purity, gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, purple plum, notes of blueberry associated with fleshy strawberry as well as hints of cornflower, liquorish, chocolate, toasted hazelnut, toasted almond, fine hints of caramelization and a subtle hint of sweet blond tabaco. Good length. The tannins are precis and well built. A rich wine, fresh, all in subtlety and it offers purity.
