The nose is spicy and offers a certain power, straightness as well as a frank, tense, incisive and racy grain. There are notes of Sichuan pepper, nutmeg and slight notes of lilac associated with touches of pulpy blackcurrant, crushed strawberry as well as a hint of clove, spices and toast. The palate is fruity with minerality, a certain slight fluidity, a velvety/powdery grain and a certain slight darkness. We have notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, raspberry and small notes of small dense wild black fruits associated with touches of roasting, lilac, badine and a hint of tobacco. Good long with mellow tannins.
