The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, even sweet. It expresses notes of mint syrup, mint chocolate, red cherry jam, blackberry, very ripe wild strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry coulis and roasted raspberry, as well as bird cherry jam. There are also notes of liquorice, vanilla (even a hint of caramel), grated nutmeg and pink pepper, a touch of toasted wood and toasted hazelnut, as well as fresh peony and peppermint. The palate is juicy and tasty, with a fresh and gourmand fruity substance. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam, redcurrant jelly, crushed raspberry, as well as chocolate cherry, peppermint, liquorice, nutmeg, crushed pink pepper berries, heated wood and toasted hazelnut, combined with a touch of fresh tobacco and macerated cherry. Tannins are finely tight and solid. Beautiful refreshing acidity and good length.
