Château La Clotte 2022 – Saint-Emilion

Château La Clotte 2022 – Saint-Emilion

The nose is nicely developed, with a certain richness and intensity in the fruit. There are bright notes of raspberry, crushed strawberry and, small notes, bright blackcurrant, combined with touches of cornflower, saffron, as well as fine hints of vanilla. The palate is nicely structured, fresh, supple, elegant, gourmand, with a burst of fruit. We perceive notes of bright blueberry, bright purple plum, and small notes of bright redcurrant, accompanied by touches of liquorice, toasted notes, an almost blueberry hint and subtle, slightly sappy notes. Tannins are mellow and gourmand. The whole thing is nicely carried out with an almost touch of coffee in the background. The wine is nicely juicy/pulpy and gourmand. Tannins are fresh, with a nice freshness and fullness, offering width.
