The nose is spicy, racy, precise, frank, with a little power, depth/structure. It expresses notes of blackberry, small fairly ripe/dense red fruits and more lightly – gray pepper associated with touches of cornflower, star anise and a hint of pepper. The palate is nicely juicy, silky, gourmet, with a nice definition, a tangy frame, accuracy, a little tension, suavity. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, creamy raspberry and more lightly – star anise associated with a touch of tonka bean/cocoa. Good length. Supple and racy tannins. Almost hint of aromatic herbs/roasts on the finish. Nice persistence.
