Château Grand Village 2023 – Pomerol

A lovely fresh, juicy, beautifully aromatic nose, with a little pulpiness and a certain density in freshness and control. It expresses notes of juicy violet plum, juicy blackberry and small notes of flowers / rose associated with touches of crunchy blueberry and has fine hints of racy minerality and discreet hints of cornflower, candy, sap and a subtle almost spring-like hint and camphor. The palate is fruity, beautifully floral, tangy and offers juiciness, a lovely sparkle, juicy / fresh / pulpy fruit, energy, a tangy frame, balance, elegance and finesse, accuracy. It expresses notes of juicy/sour purple plum, bright cherry and more lightly – pulpy blackcurrant, associated with touches of cornflower, violet as well as fine hints of racy minerality, discreet hints of fresh tobacco and a very discreet hint almost star anise / fresh tea. Good length with a subtle hint almost varietal on the finish. Beautiful complexity in its freshness.
