The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of crushed wild strawberry, very ripe morello cherry, red chocolate cherry, crushed blackcurrant, raspberry, as well as a spicy touch (sweet pepper, cumin, licorice, nutmeg), roasting (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood and coffee in the background), herbaceous (dried aromatic herbs, a sappy hint) and balsamic. We also find a perfumed and expressive floral bouquet (rose, violet, peony) and a gourmand hint of dark chocolate. The palate offers density, solidity, a firm tannic structure, but a fine texture, with a powdery touch. We find notes of fresh morello cherry, damson plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, tangy strawberry, bird cherry, as well as a herbaceous and sappy hint (wild mint, fresh pine needles), smoke, toast in the background, as well as a spicy hint (liquorice, sweet pepper, cumin). The finish is persistent, tight, tannic, with a good bitterness and a salivating acidity. Concentration and accuracy.
