Château Ampélia 2022 – Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fresh, fruity, elegant, mineral and racy, nicely defined with an infusion side. We find notes of boysenberry, elegant roasted cherry and more particularly graphene, associated with notes of minerality, touches of small ripe black fruits and infusion, as well as a subtle hint of sweet pepper. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, fresh and bright, with great energy, nice acidity and brightness of the fruit. This wine offers balanced density and deepness with elegance. There are notes of fleshy and juicy blackcurrant, blueberry, and more discreetly roasted and juicy red berries, associated with touches of blueberry, elegant roasted cherry, as well as hints of licorice stick and chocolate, with a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla. A certain creaminess on the finish, accompanied by a delicate touch of coffee. The wine offers great gourmandise and flavor. Tannins are mellow, gourmand and tasty.
