The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is reserved, but offers a certain concentration and a delicate herbaceous hint. It expresses notes of garrigue, dried Mediterranean herbs (dried thyme, dried rosemary, a touch of dried bay leaf). Then, we find notes of sour red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, sour strawberry and red plum, associated with notes of liquorice (even star anise in the background) and balsamic, as well as crushed juniper berries. The palate offers a certain fruity material, juiciness and tanginess of fruits. It expresses notes of red cherry, morellocherry, sour strawberry, blackcurrant and raspberry coulis, associated with touches of rosemary, dried thyme, garrigue, as well as a fine hint of violet and a good bitterness on the persistence. The tannins are fine, tight and tasty. The finish is moderately long, tangy, with a good bitterness.
