Camigliano Paesaggio Inatteso 2020 – Brunello di Montalcino

The nose is expressive, concentrated, savoury, spicy, balsamic and toasted at first. Then, it expresses notes of fresh, tangy and macerated fruits (prunes, ripe morello cherry, roasted morello cherry, morello cherry jam, red cherry with kirsch, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, wild blackberry), as well as dark chocolate, mint in the background. A slight tertiary side adds complexity, associated with floral touches (lilac, iris), fresh tobacco, balsamic, fresh pine needles, as well as spices (nutmeg, white pepper, liquorice and cardamom) and dried fruits (fresh almond, hazelnut with a toasted touch). The palate is lively, tangy, with fresh fruits (plum, morello cherry, morello cherry jam, red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, wild blackberry), combined with a hint of crushed mint, balsamic, sage and fresh tobacco, fresh almond, toasted hazelnut. Fewer tertiary flavors on the palate, a very delicate hint of undergrowth and spices (nutmeg, cardamom). Beautiful tangy persistence on the fruits, complemented by a fresh hint of blackcurrant bud. The tannins are finely tight.
