The nose is spicy and offers power as well as a certain intensity. It reveals notes of pepper, camphor and small notes of crushed red berries associated with touches of boysenberry as well as a subtle, almost controlled oxidative note. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral structure, energy, a certain roundness/fat, a discreet tight side, a certain racy density, tension as well as gourmandize. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed red cherry, crushed blueberry and small notes of bright/quite ripe small red fruits associated with a touch of roasted fruit, hints of racy/volcanic minerality as well as slight hints of toasted almond, a subtle hint of cardamom and a discreet hint of chocolate. Tannins are racy and gourmands.
