The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is fragrant and floral: it expresses the sweet notes of peony, iris and lilac. After aeration, we find the juicy notes of ripe fruits (even sweet touches of fruit jam): crushed wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, crushed wild blackberry, juicy morello cherry and cherry jam, as well as chocolate morello cherry. The nose also expresses notes of aromatic herbs (dried thyme, a hint of bay leaf, tobacco), roasting (coffee, bitter cocoa, toasted almond) and sweet spices (liquorice, a hint of nutmeg and cumin). The palate is tasty, fruity, with touches of maceration (stewed cherry) and a good bitterness in the fruit material (bird cherry). It also expresses notes of blackcurrant, red cherry, morello cherry and blackberry, combined with hints of liquorice, white pepper and nutmeg. Good persistence, which expresses the herbaceous and roasted side (dried thyme, tobacco, cocoa, toasted bitter almond). The acidity is salivating and refreshing. The tannins are fine, tasty and slightly tight.
